Previously known as 100% Design, Design London is a yearly occasion that aims to honour and showcase London as the global centre for design and as a hub for the international creative community. 

Throughout the week, the event hosts various prominent trade shows referred to as 'Design Destinations.' These shows serve as crucial platforms for designers, manufacturers, buyers, the media, and design enthusiasts to explore new product launches and recognise upcoming design trends. The event is pivotal in connecting people and fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas within the design community.

FCI London has been a part of this event for several years now, and we’re proud to have showcased this dining table at our NAOS stand in 2019, where it received an overwhelming response. 

2 - Space-saving Extending Mechanism

But unlike most space-saving designs, Quasar stands out because of its unique mechanism as you can actually see it from the inside, through the glass tops, as the plates rotate in synchronised motion. 

Designed by Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi, this table’s extending mechanism can be operated both manually and through a remote. With a simple click of the optional remote control or by pulling the inconspicuous lever underneath the table, the centre of the table effortlessly extends and expands its surface to accommodate up to ten people.

3 - Available in Two Shapes

The table is available in both rectangular and oval shapes, in the following dimensions:

Rectangular: 78¾" - 110¼"W × 39½"D × 29½"H

Oval: 78¾" - 110¼"W × 43½"D × 29½"H

This allows for flexibility as our clients are able to choose the shape that best suits their interior design. For narrower or smaller rooms, our interior designers recommend the Oval version as it visually takes up less room.
